Alisa Kaps, born 1991 in Idar-Oberstein, has been employed at Berlin Institute since November 2016. She heads the department International Demography. She studied Human Geography at Goethe-University Frankfurt / Main and Lund University (Sweden) and earned a master’s degree in Geography from Salzburg University focusing on „Geographies of Uneven Development“. At the Berlin-Institute she mainly works on demographic challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa.
